A poem

Photo by engin akyurt on Unsplash

A friend of mine wanted to die
But he didn’t know why
Society sang a song
He was always wrong

A friend of mine wanted to die
But he couldn’t identify
He cared a lot for others
They were like his brothers

A friend of mine wanted to die
Until he let the thought fly
He finally got the closure
The world considered him a loser

A friend of mine wanted to live
He learned to forgive
He was no longer shattered
The opinions of others didn’t matter

A friend of mine lived a life
People can only fantasize
By the end he realized
An adventurous life was his prize

A friend of mine was eventually dead
Without a single regret
The world found a new prey
You know what they’ll say
